Housing cooperatives in OBOS open their doors with Unloc.
OBOS chose Unloc for the cooperatives and sameier it manages: keyless access to the entrance, garage and storage, connected to OBOS Styrerommet.

With Unloc through OBOS
- Access that follows the change of ownershipOwners are read from OBOS every night. A new owner gets access on their move-in day, and the old one loses it after moving out.
- Share access in secondsThe board and residents give access to family, tradespeople and couriers from their phones, and remove it as easily.
- There from day one in new buildingsIn new OBOS developments the doors are on Unloc before the residents move in.
When a flat is sold, access moves with it.
Unloc reads owners and addresses from OBOS, which already knows who lives where. The board picks once which doors each address gets. The rest runs by itself.
Covers the shared doors, such as the entrance, garage and storage.
- Every night
Owners are read
Owners and addresses are synced, so nobody keeps a list up to date by hand.
- Move-in day
The new owner is in
Access to the doors of their address, and the right to share it with family and tradespeople.
- The night after moving out
The previous owner is out
Access is removed after the move-out day, so nobody is left without it mid-move.
- New board
The board keeps up
Board members get and lose access to Unloc Control by their dates on the board.
How a cooperative gets started
- 1
Get in touch
Fill in the form with your cooperative and its number of homes. It goes straight to OBOS, who follows you up.
- 2
Site visit and quote
A certified installer looks at the entrances, garage gate and storage rooms, and you get one quote for the building.
- 3
Installation and go-live
The installer connects the doors. Residents get access in the Unloc app, and ordinary keys keep working.
Questions
Do we have to buy Unloc through OBOS?
No, but if you do, owners are read from OBOS, so access follows the change of ownership by itself. Buy directly, and the board adds and removes residents itself.
What does it cost?
A one-off cost to connect the doors, plus a running service. For most, both fit in the operating budget, so the board can decide on its own.
What if someone doesn’t want to use a phone?
Entirely optional. Ordinary keys work as before; nobody has to change their habits.
Which doors can be connected?
Entrances, garage gates, storage rooms, barriers and shared rooms, on most of the lock and access systems found in Norwegian housing cooperatives.
